DeAnne's Campaign
Why I am running:
As a mother of a toddler, I am highly invested in the success of the public school system and our local community. I would like to do my part in making sure the schools she will attend can provide the best education possible.
My Values and Priorities:
I would like to work with NBSD staff to continue the upward trend of graduation rates and work to give these graduates a competitive edge for scholarships and post-graduate assistance.
I would also like to address the extremely low engagement and attendance rates haunting NBSD.
And lastly, I want to represent working parents and families on NBSB.
Why you should vote for me:
I will bring constructive ideas and a dedicated work ethic to this position and the challenges that NBSB faces. This is not just something to fill my time, this is an investment in my child's future and in the community that my husband and I have chosen to spend our lives in. I have a vested interest in the success of this school district, and I want to help support the schools that will give my daughter and her peers the tools they need to navigate the challenges the world presents.
A long career of interacting with many different types of personalities has given me the skills to effectively and concisely communicate in a professional and polite manner. I take people's feedback and concerns very seriously. I understand that my peers and community members need to be heard in a respectful way that leads to meaningful engagement with our programs.
